When I was at Uni, using a Linux machine, I used to use GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) to mess around with all my photos.

I really wanted something powerful, easy to learn and free for Windows. I think that I might have found it: Paint.NET

Cheers Matt! I've never been bothered investing in Paintshop Pro or anything but I will give this a try....
