Rebecca is teething, and has had a bit of an upset tummy over the past week (apparently this is a common thing).

All that nappy-filling has led to an amazing display of nappy rash. I have never seen skin that is almost fluorescent in colour before. Rebecca is now quite scared of the cotton wool that we use to wipe her down when it is changing time!

Let's hope that it clears up soon!

I'm sure you've already come across this by now, but Sudocrem is what you need here. Have you considered moving away from cotton wool in favor of baby wipes?

We were using Sudocrem and baby wipes, but we were told by Doctor and Pharmacist to use cotton wool and water until it cleared up as this was more gentle. We have to use a steroid cream twice a day and Vaseline for the remainder of the time, until it clears up....

A friend of mine who's a mum suggests using natural sponges (gives me troubled conscience because they're stolen from the sea but.....) as an alternative to cotton wool - much, much, much softer and can be thrown in washing machine.
