I had problems with my Vodafone 3G phone today - as soon as it realised that there was a 3G network available, it lost the ability to make or receive calls.
After a couple of calls to Vodafone and a long walk to the Vodafone shop to get a new SIM card, it turned out that it was a Scotland-wide problem, and that it might be like that for 24 hours!
I sent an email to The Register website to tell them about it, and about 90 minutes later the following news story appeared here.
Well, if that doesn't speed up a fix, I don't know what will!
